Several weeks ago, one of our customers ordered the Champagne Mimosa gift box for a friend. She was going to drop if off on her friend’s porch with a bottle of champagne. What a sweet friend!
As I was preparing her order and writing her gift note, I noticed something. Her message was about missing her, thanking her for sacrifice, and I got the impression her friend was a doctor or nurse. I reached out to my customer and mentioned I wanted to add a little extra something inside her gift box, on us.
After we chatted back and forth… she told me the gift was actually for her sister, and yes, she is an ICU nurse. The conversation was a little emotional for her, and so touching.
This may not seem like much on the surface, but I let her know I would add some champagne gummy bears and one of our vanilla raspberry chocolate bars. I mean, who doesn’t love gummy bears, right?! Not to mention, they were a perfect pair for that particular gift box.
She couldn’t believe it and told me her sister actually LOVES gummy bears! She loves them so much that it’s an ongoing joke between them since she always brings gummy bears whenever they travel anywhere! How crazy was that?!
This got me thinking… God is in the little details y’all. Even in little, seemingly insignificant moments.
Over the past month, I have received messages of kindness and gratefulness. I have heard your stories about how much joy your gift brought someone. How much joy YOU brought someone just by thinking of them and connecting with them, even in this new and distant way.
Keep doing what you’re doing. You don’t have to send one of our gifts to connect with others. You can simply face time, write a note, deliver flowers, and the list goes on. I must say that when you do choose us, we are so honored to be a part of your moments.
So now I’d love to share a little gift with all of you!
First, let me introduce you to Katie. She’s a sweet gal from Charleston, South Carolina. Her full time job is an emergency medicine physician assistant. Her side hustle/small business is hand lettering and she does custom designs for Charleston weddings and events. I love the name of her business, Holy City Handwriting.
I asked Katie if I could purchase a custom piece that I could share on my website with all of our readers to download… for FREE! Yay! I chose the Psalm 16:11 bible verse, since it’s part of the Blackberry & Honeysuckle story here.

I even wrote the date in my bible during that time when God revealed this verse to my heart.

Isn’t this print beautiful?! I often get requests for items with bible verses weaved into our custom gifts, so this would make a great inexpensive gift for anyone.
If you’re looking for a last minute Mother’s Day gift, simply download, print (I recommend on cardstock) and frame it! I already had this frame at home, and it was 20 bucks or so from Target. Tie some ribbon around the frame and you’ve got a simple, yet meaningful gift!
Download your Psalm 16:11 printable here.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms! Hope you all have a relaxing, joyful weekend!
