August 10, 2019. One year ago from today. Blackberry & Honeysuckle became an official company. I remember the excitement coupled with anxiety all at the same time. How did I let my husband convince me to start this business in the first place?! So glad he pushed me out of my comfort zone, as usual.
Here we are… within our first year, we have shipped gifts to mothers, daughters, friends, aunts, brothers, sons, grandparents, client’s, and so many more!
We’ve shipped to 33 states and counting!!
If you are reading this, THANK YOU. Whether you have simply sent an encouraging message to me, prayed for me, or even purchased a gift box, it ALL matters. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Your love and support has lifted me up more than you know. I am beyond grateful to my dear loved ones, sweet friends, and the kindest customers. I’ve been able to pursue this little dream I’m passionate about and I am so blessed. I’m constantly amazed that people actually want to buy the gifts I curate. Y’all are the best!!
Most importantly, I gave this business to God from the start. My prayer is that God uses Blackberry & Honeysuckle for His glory, however He sees fit. My hope is that people from all over will experience God’s presence and goodness.
“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” – Psalm 16:11 (ESV)
This verse reminds me that in His presence is where we find true and lasting joy. It’s not always easy to be joyful and life can be difficult to say the least, but at the end of the day that’s what I choose. Joy. In Him.
Blackberry & Honeysuckle isn’t just about blackberries & honeysuckles. I chose the name as a reminder of that truth. A reminder of His presence. All along, He has been with us, beside us, all around us. In His presence there is fullness of joy. (You can read our story here.)
